Qingdao Yuandong Motor Boats Co., Ltd., was founded in 1994. It was a joint venture between China Chamber for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Qingdao Chamber and Yamaha Co., Ltd., Japan, specialized for production of FRP boats. It become one of the first agents and a specialized entrusted repair unit in China for Yamaha products as well as the first class agent for Yamaha Yachts in Northern China after the reform of the company. It is  the president unit of Qingdao Boat Manufacturer Association and the cooperation unit of Water Sports Management Center of State Sports General Administration.

Qingdao Yuandong has a history of more than 20 years in manufacture of FRP boats, producing more than 50 types of boats, including the boats of FR18, UF25 and YFR24, etc. introduced from Yamaha and boats developed by Yuandong. The boats can be used in business, law enforcement, tourism, leisure, entertainment, fishing, breeding, construction and emergency, etc. It sells rubber boats, jet ski, outboard motors, components, machine oil, life saving products on boats, etc. It can also process, develop and manufacture products according to samples of the customers.

Qingdao Yuandong FRP boats have been sold on the sea, rivers, lakes, reservoirs and water in parks all over China, exported to Europe, U.S., Southeast Asia, mid east and Africa.
